Sam Altman-run OpenAI announced on Saturday that it will finally launch its hugely-popular AI chatbot called ChatGPT for Android users next week. The ChatGPT for Android app is launching a few months after the free iOS app brought the chatbot to the iPhone. Announcing ChatGPT for Android! The app will be rolling out to users next week and you can pre-order it on the Google Play Store starting today, the company said in a tweet. The ChatGPT app for Android is more or less the same as the iOS app. 

The Android rollout is likely to come first to US users and then to other countries, but the company has yet to reveal plans.

One can sign up to be notified when the app goes live by pressing “Pre-Register” on the Google Play Store.

OpenAI introduced customized instructions for ChatGPT, which enables users to share details with AI chatbots for future conversations. It’s in beta for Plus users and will expand to everyone soon. Custom instructions are editable or removable at any time. Furthermore, users sharing instructions will not be shared with link visitors.

The company has also improved the history search with the update.
